Our participants travel cross-continent, from Canada, California, and all points in-between to help us recreate life in 1814/15 New Orleans.  Funds raised from Give Nola Day 2021 will be used to purchase period-correct replica tents, just like those used here during the Campaign in the winter of 1814-1815.

The tents will serve two purposes.  One is these tents will give our participants options to shelter at night and in between events.  The tents will also help add to our physical presence, and lastly, further immerse our visitors’ experience deeper into the time period.

Our northern participants have noted how difficult it is to drag canvas hundreds of miles south, get it wet, and return back to the frozen tundra.  These tents will be available for re-enactors to use and reduce the burdens of their participation in our event.
